Embed videos with a playlist in myspace

Web FLV Player Pro can easily turn multiple videos into web flash video with a playlist. If you have a website, you can upload the output folder to your website and create video playlist in web pages. Below is the instruction of embedding multiple flash videos in a playlist for your website.

Here is an example, please click the following picture to know about the website structure first. Supposed that you have uploaded index.html, myvideo folder and example folder (folder are displayed in yellow) to the website root and you are trying to embed the flash video playlist in the index.html page.

Note: The structure is an example. Depending on videos and the objects you added, it may differ from the exmaple widely.

Example website structure

Please click the thumbnail to enlarge

The exmaple folder includes all the files generated by Web FLV Player without any modification.

Now, open the fs_aux.html or slides.html with any text editor like Notepad++, Microsoft Word, Dreamweaver, etc. And you can find the html codes between and tags as the codes below.

However, the index.html are not in the same directory as slides.swf and slides.xml, you need to correct the path of the slides.swf and slides.xml in the html codes above. And the correct codes should be as below.

Now, the index.html will display your videos successfully. However, as you can see in the structure, the videos are in the directory /exmaple/videos/flv/, and you want to move them to the directory /myvideo/ and rename for easier website resource management (/ stands for the Root directory). And now what should be done? It's easy, you just need to modify the slides.xml file.

Open the slides.xml file with an editor, and you will find something similar to the following codes.

Note: The contents between <advert> and </advert> are the objects and their properties in insert mode while <watermark> and </watermark> are for overlay mode.

<slide v_URL="videos/flv/v_0001.flv" jpegURL="videos/thumbs/t_0001.jpg" d_URL="videos/slides/p_0001.jpg" title="Amazing Caves" url="http://www.web-flv-player.com" URLTarget="0">
<advert>

</advert>
<watermark>

</watermark>
</slide>
......
<slide v_URL="videos/flv/v_0005.flv" jpegURL="videos/thumbs/t_0005.jpg" d_URL="videos/slides/p_0005.jpg" title="Iron man" url="http://www.web-flv-player.com" URLTarget="0">
<advert/>
<watermark/>
</slide>

Note: Some of the codes are abbreviated.

Now, you need to change v_URL="videos/flv/v_0001.flv" to v_URL="/myvideo/a.flv", and please note we use absolute path in the new URL of video. If you use relative path, it should be v_URL="../myvideo/a.flv" because myvideo folder is in one level upper folder relative to the slides.xml file. If you are confused with relative path and absolute path, we recommend you use absolute path, it begins from the root "/". In the same way, you can change jpegURL and d_URL. jpegURL is used for thumbnail while d_URL is used for slide screenshot like template Simple.

In fact, you can modify most properties of the videos and playlist control panel in the slides.xml file if you are not satisfied with the video playlist you have uploaded. What you need to do is just changing the value to a valid value you want in the xml file and replacing the xml file. For example, you can change autoPlay="false" to autoPlay="true" to enable automatical flash loading.
